I just like the name of this dish – Pizza Soup.
Turns out, it is a worthy recipe even for picky pizza eaters like us. Plus plus for San Marzano tomatoes, the real deal used on authentic pizza in Naples, Italy.
You don’t have to travel to Canada to get a good plate of Poutine, but it couldn’t hurt. In some regions of the US there is a version named Disco Fries. This dish is the perfect end to a night of partying with adult beverages.
I posted this saying one egg is not enough and someone replied that “it is in China”. True, but it reminded me of the time I ordered an American breakfast in China with “sunny side up” fried eggs. The yolks were the lightest shade of yellow I had ever seen and the eggs tasted like fish. Turns out they fed the chickens fish-meal and fish scraps. No beta carotene.
That crepe looks perfectly cooked. We had a rustic crepe like that in Normandy. They call it a galette and it is made with buckwheat flour.
If there is any breakfast more sublime than a perfectly done fried egg I don’t know what it could be. All this needs is a crust of something to dip into that unctuous egg yolk. Something like whole wheat toast, an English muffin, or a buttermilk biscuit.
